Larry Lawrence enjoys painting his trademark portraits of familiar barnyard denizens: adorable sheep, benign cows, curious goats and his popular chickens. He finds that Guelph’s proximity to the surrounding countryside allows him to photograph his subjects and the landscape of rolling hills for painting in his Synchronicity studio. Many portraits are of the livestock on his son-in-law’s farm. With the long history of Guelph’s famous Veterinary College, it seems a good fit for folks to appreciate our domesticated friends on the farm. His show runs for the month of June at Whitestone.

Opening Reception is Saturday May 5th 7 -9 p.m.

Kathleen Morin’s work will be featured at The Whitestone Gallery from April 28th until May 25th.

Kathleen Morin’s latest collection is a vibrant body of work with a sensual familiarity and an invitation that lies beyond the obvious.
With depictions of familiar places, wide open spaces and beautiful faces, all the viewer need do is relax, take it all in, and as the artist suggests;
“Just Breathe”!
