This is an image created by Rebecca Erickson, a Whitestone Gallery member. This is a composite of some work she did when she was 18 in art school and at 45 for her first solo show, as well as, influenced by one of her children’s painting from a few years ago. The originals were as large as 6 ft x 3 ft. and the scale, colour, transparency and layering were done with photoshop. While Rebecca works, she lets part of her brain focus on listening to some kind of narrative, like radio, downloads of comedy albums, or books on CD.

I hope to post a series of posts on the members, their work and what inspires them as they work.
